5 days cooking class with Hotel / B&B accomodation

 

Description

The occasion of meeting an Italian family and enjoy the hills of Chianti, surrounded by vineyard & olivegroves with the advantage of B&B or hotel facilities. An opportunity to attend '2 hands on Cooking classes' which cover traditional, home-style Tuscan and Italian recipes to enjoy the wonderfully intense flavours & freshness of traditional Italian dishes cooked in an evocative stone farmhouse. Participants cook and eat dishes prepared using fresh, organic and natural ingredients. A complete meal (5 recipes) such as appetizers, a pasta dish, a vegetable or meat dish and then a dessert is prepared every day and is accompanied by the wine which best complements it. During the excursion we will take you to discover the Chianti Classico wines and Tuscan oil. or to visit a typical Italian open market depending on the season.
Dinner with the family for eating typical Italian products, tasting and learning how to serve extravergin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, bread, Italian cheeses (pecorino, parmigiano, mozzarella di bufala, ricotta etc.), salami (Tuscan salami, finocchiona), Tuscan prosciutto, Tuscan bread, focaccia and typical Tuscan dessert (Cantucci with Vin Santo).

Daily schedule

Day 1

Day 1: Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:15 am Transfer by private car to Podere Le Rose. At 9:30 am Hands on cooking class. We prepare together 4 or 5 different recipes. Lunch together. We eat our recipes and taste the accompanying wine. Guided excursions in the Chianti area: visit to a winery with wine tasting and to a beautiful ancient town with traditional artisans (ceramic, leather goods, kitchen stuff etc.). Dinner at our home, talking about Italy and Italian culture and lifestyle. At 10:00 pm Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 2

Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:15 am transfer by private car to Podere Le Rose. At 9:30 am Hands on cooking class We prepare together 4 or 5 different recipes. Lunch together. We eat our recipes and taste the accompanying wine. Transfer back to your hotel. Free afternoon at your hotel. Free Dinner in a restaurant or pizzerias near to hotel (we can suggest you places).

Day 3

Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:15 am transfer by private car to Podere Le Rose. At 9:30 am Hands on cooking class We prepare together 4 or 5 different recipes. Lunch together. We eat our recipes and taste the accompanying wine. Guided excursion in an another unique Chianti small town. Dinner at home, talking about Italy and Italian culture and lifestyle. At 10:00 pm transfer back to your hotel.

Day 4

Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:15 am transfer by private car to Podere Le Rose. At 9:30 am Hands on cooking class We prepare together 4 or 5 different recipes. Lunch together. We eat our recipes and taste the accompanying wine. Transfer back to your hotel. Free afternoon at your hotel. Free dinner in a restaurant or pizzerias near to hotel (we can suggest you places).

Day 5

Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel and check out. At 9:15 am transfer by private car to Podere Le Rose. At 9:30 am Hands on cooking class We prepare together 4 or 5 different recipes. Lunch together. We eat our recipes and taste the accompanying wine. Transfer by private car to Montevarchi and train connection to Florence (arrival in Florence approx. 4:30pm).

First Course: Fresh hand-made pasta or Potato gnocchi or dry pasta with red or white sauces or Ribollita (Tuscan vegetable soup)

Second Course: Roasted meat (Arista alla Fiorentina), Turkey Breast with Balsamic Vinegar or Stuffed vegetables or Savory Cakes with zucchini

Dessert: Tiramisù or Panna Cotta or Gelato
